Are you prepared for the next Ofsted Safety inspection?
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Ramsay Safety Solutions Ltd. We are a local safety consultancy company, working in partnership with our clients, to ensure risks are managed in the school environment.
Many schools may be in breach of Health and Safety legislation. The recent survey indicates that 78% of the 55 schools that took part were not compliant with fire safety.
Questions covered five categories:
- Health and Safety Policy
- Risk Assessments
- Fire Safety
- First Aid
- Health and Safety Management
Some schools performed well some categories; however, the results were mixed for the other sections.
Half of the schools were in breach of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. 30% had not completed a Fire Risk Assessment recently and therefore, were not compliant with legislation.
